Welcome to Downsview Presbyterian Church. We hope that the information you find here helps to give you a picture of who we are, what we are about, and how you can get connected.

Who Are We

Downsview Church was moved to its current location in the Downsview area in 2017 and adopted its current name to better reflect its mission to serve the local community. The English Ministry at Downsview exists under the parent Korean Ministry.

Historically Korean in its cultural composition, we are actively seeking to tear down the barriers that prevent us from becoming an intercultural church. Downsview Church is welcoming to all people of all cultures and backgrounds.

Our Vision

“To be the manifestation of God’s heavenly kingdom on earth: an intercultural and intergenerational body of Christ.”

Our Mission

“To see residents of Downsview community and everyone God brings in our path renewed spiritually by having a better understanding of God and God’s plan for us - individually and as a community. We long to see the good news lived out through our lives bringing peace, mercy and sincere fellowship through the broken walls of society. We aim to be a people of peace, who will honour the name of Jesus with everything we say and do. We look to challenge and redefine the tamed and consumerized gospel back to its radical and upside-down identity.”

This is rooted in the good news that Jesus is the Saviour, the Redeemer, the Lord, the King and the coming Judge for the people in our city and the world.

Whether you identify as a seeker, skeptic or Jesus’ follower, we plan to help you keep taking sincere and secure steps on your spiritual journey. We have created environments where you can join this community and get informed and equipped.

In order to grow as a disciple of Jesus, we aim to grow in three directions:

  • UP – cultivating our personal relationship with Jesus through disciplines like scripture & prayer,

  • IN – deepening our relationships with one another through community,

  • OUT – engaging the world around us in the way Jesus would like.
