Kevin Ko, Millang Kim
Elder, Finance, Couples Fellowship
Kevin was born in South Korea but grew up in Toronto since he was thirteen years old. Kevin and his wife, Millang met at Downsview Presbyterian Church and got married in 2005. They joined the English ministry in 2019 and became liaisons to facilitate a close working relationship between Korean and English ministries. Kevin focuses his service on church finances as he has extensive years of experience in that field. Millang’s area of expertise is parenting education for inner-city families and children and she has been serving as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. Kevin and Millang enjoy showing hospitality, serving others in need and currently, they lead monthly couples fellowship in their home.
Kevin and Millang have been blessed with twin teenaged boys: Aiden and Tristan.
Korean Ministry
While most of the decision-making is done by the leadership team, governance and oversight of the English Ministry falls under the session of elders and the senior pastor of the Korean Ministry.
Rev. Dr. Kyo Don Joo
Senior Pastor (BA, M.Div., Th.M., S.T.M., Ph.D.)
Pastor Joo is serving Downsview Presbyterian Church Korean Ministry as a senior pastor. His primary theological, pastoral, homiletical focus is on proclaiming the gospel and living out the gospel. He is seeking a church and Christian life not only belonging to truth but also fulfilling truthfulness that means to live out the gospel. He has been married to his lovely wife, Jae Youn, and they have been given three daughters, Lucy, Catherine, and Cherie.
